Líneas de Investigación

Ecología conductual

Mis intereses son dilucidar (a) la estructura y dinámica de grupos en especies sociales, (b) los factores ecológicos e históricos responsables de la vida en grupo de dichas especies, (c) las consecuencias reproductivas de la social, (d) costos y beneficios de comportamientos de estrategias de cooperación en especies sociales, y (e) los mecanismos de comunicación que posibilitan la cohesión social. Tal como muestran mis publicaciones, las aproximaciones que utilizo para lograr estos objetivos son experimentos de campo y laboratorio, comparaciones basadas en observaciones de campo realizadas en diferentes condiciones ambientales, y uso del método comparativo filogenético.
