LLAMADO A CONCURSO PROFESOR ASISTENTE (BIOÉTICA) / PUBLIC COMPETITION ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (BIOETHICS)

La Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a través de sus Facultades de Filosofía, Medicina, Ciencias Sociales, Derecho, Teología y Ciencias Biológicas, las cuales participan del Centro de Bioética UC, llama a Concurso Internacional de antecedentes para llenar un cargo interdisciplinario de Profesor Asistente de su planta ordinaria, jornada completa (44 hrs), a partir del 30 de noviembre de 2021.

Se espera que el/la candidato/a seleccionado/a realice su trabajo de investigación principalmente en el Centro de Bioética y su docencia en la Facultad disciplinar a la cual se adscriba. El Comité de Selección recibirá postulaciones de candidatos/as con una sólida formación en bioética, esperando que su docencia e investigación realicen aportes especialmente (pero no exclusivamente) en alguno de los siguientes temas: inteligencia artificial, bioética y neurociencias; bioética y nuevas tecnologías; human enhancement/human engineering y bioética.

The Center for Bioethics of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile invites interested candidates to apply for a full-time (44hrs) position as Assistant Professor in Bioethics, starting from November 30, 2021.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct interdisciplinary research, the majority of which will be carried out at the Center for Bioethics (PUC), while his/her teaching duties will be carried out at the Faculty associated with her disciplinary profile. The Faculties associated with the Center for Bioethics are Philosophy, Medicine, Social Sciences, Law, Theology, and Biological Sciences. The Search Committee welcomes applications from candidates with a proven track record in bioethics, eager to contribute with teaching and research that intersects with any of the following fields: artificial intelligence, neuroscience, emerging technologies, human enhancement/human engineering, among others.
